So my estimates were off with my take on the whole situation, but I’m a big enough man to fess up. The 40GB PlayStation 3 is real, at least in Europe anyway, and will be priced at a neat €399 (a little above $US560 or $AU630). Still a little pricey seeing you lose some features as well as HDD space. Would have preferred to see this hit at around $AU599 and the 60GB being dropped to $AU799, but little hope of that now isn’t there!
