The RIAA have received only 2% of the $58million cost back on their stupid fight against piracy. Hopefully this news will wake up some people and decide that the RIAA has been a humongous waste of time. Unfortunately, they have already shown their idiot arrogance on the subject, so I will see you here again when RIAA reach that magic 100mil mark.

If you know me in year life, that is a hard task to accomplish.

I am back after almost 2 years. Why? I can give you a dozen excuses, but the truth is I was disheartened. Originally I wrote because I wanted a change of life. I wanted to be a famous technology writer, who got send piles of awesome gadgets and never had to work a hard days labour in my life. Of course the best laid plans are of mice and men and I had gotten ahead of myself.

It started with a refresh to the design and a general break. My numbers dropped off and I was back at the start again. The air was taken out of me and a realisation was made, as soon as I stop writing people will find somewhere else to get their information. I understand completely and would react the exact same way in the same position.

So, why am I back again? A realisation. I love technology. I love taking about it, playing with it and teaching other people about it. It is my passion and my hobby. Basically I missed it.

Change is in the air this time around. No longer will I attempt to be the general technology and science website. No longer will I attempt to write dozens of articles a week and keep up with the bigger sites. This time around I want to talk about technology and science that interests me. This time it is about the love of writing and technology.

So if you are reading this, I thank you, and I hope to see you around.

Some art gallery in LA has done a exhibition, for some reason or other. Lets skip all the factual crap and get straight into it. Most of the pictures look incredible, and you should definitely check it out. There are a couple for people with special taste, but have a look anyway, you will like it.

What bugs you say? If you have ever clicked one of my tags in the past months, you would have noticed that you only found articles that weren’t in the shorts section. That was annoying to say the least, considering that majority of the articles on the site are published under shorts (because I am to lazy). That bug is fixed, but has created other bugs that will hopefully be resolved in the coming week. If you happen to notice a bug that annoys you, can you please post a comment or send me a private message. Thank you and have a great day.

It seems I have a case of writers block. There was a time on the old Unobtainble.info blog that I could write many articles a day and feel happy with what I had done. Not so much anymore. There are certain pressures of being a father and also being a Boyfriend/Husband, that require time. This doesn’t mean I want the new Technience to die, that isn’t it at all. I am just taking a sort break to regather myself and to be a damn great father.
On the other side of thing, the people who developed the new theme, were quite frustrating to deal with. I decided to go over the seas to find a developer, who had promised a lot of work for a little money (I am not a rich fellow), and there are features they just never got to work, though they said they would have in working before they finished. They have turned the fault onto me, and therefore I am working on trying to fix a few things.
It seems as my number of readers dwindle into nothingness (could be the title of a emo song), I will work away and hopefully regain the almost greatness of the unobtainable.info page. Till then I hope you all a very Merry Christmas, and off course, a very happy new year. Hopefully this isn’t the last piece of writing you will read before the new year, but if it is I will see you all son.

The project supposedly cost $US8000 which isn’t much to get a 14-foot tall, 1,320-pound monument. All it needs now is a big Autobots logo on it and we have a true masterpiece.

I like to give you guys a heads up on reviews, especially seeing I recommend reading even the worst of reviews before buying any new toy. Below is a list of all the reviews I have stock piled this week, with a exert from each.

- First up we have the Samsung YP-T10 Review by the guys over at AnythingButiPod. They believed “the T10 is a good player with a really nice line up of features” and “may not be for everyone”. Not bad for a Nano clone.

- Mobility Site did a massive, gigantic, monstrous review of the interesting HTC Advantage X7501. There are a ton of images and the conclusion they came to was “for business users wanting a powerful mobile device for staying connected with the office and still be able to maintain phone connectivity, or mobile tech enthusiasts wanting a top-of-the-line Windows Mobile device, this would be an excellent unit”. I still prefer a true UMPC.

- Pocketables have done a great review on the new OQO Model 02, which is a tiny little UMPC. They said “the Model 02 is an amazing upgrade to previous models and definitely steps up and delivers on all of its pre-release promises” and only really didn’t like the fact that there was no stylus included in the non Windows XP Tablet edition models and the crappy battery life. The article may contain trace amounts of poetry.

- AnythingButiPod did it again with a great review of the Archos 605 Wi-Fi. They said “605 could be ‘the ultimate PMP’, but it needs a complete overhaul of the interface, making it more usable to the average consumer” and “definitely much less user friendly than what is on the market, but that said, it will make a very nice match for the portable video enthusiast”. Sounds like I’m waiting for the next generation.

- AnythingButiPod have too much time on their hands and have reviewed the SanDisk Clip, which is like a Shuffle, but with a little screen. They liked it saying “its price of $40 and $60 MSRP I can easily recommend this to beginners as well as seasoned MP3 player users as a spare” and “the Clip has found a permanent home in my gearbag”. What happened to the all rounder?

- Lastly we have a review of the Fujifilm’s FinePix S8000FD digital camera by the grand people at Photography Blog. They said “the Finepix S8000fd represents Fujifilm’s best attempt yet to fuse the advantages of compact and DSLR cameras together, rivaling the latest entry-level DSLRs” and “the Fujifilm Finepix S8000fd is therefore both our current ultra-zoom camera of choice, and a viable alternative to a DSLR camera”. Fujifilm have done it again.

Remember to thank these guys for taking their time to write these amazing reviews for you guys and girls.

Soon a new Apple official retail outlet will be located on the corner of King Street and George Street (where the old Westpac use to be), which should be opening around the middle of 2008.
Also you might like to know that they are already advertising for staff, so if you don’t mind sitting around another 9+ months then it might be a decent career path. You would also be located next door too a McDonalds, which closes the deal for me.
On a unrelated note, the location they chose is close to the centre of Sydney city, making it a great location. The only issue I find is that I know the owners of the electronic shops along that road very well, and they all sell Apple gear (Georges Electronics, CCC Camera House, Paxtons etc). Me wonders if this will hurt there says or create more interest in the area. What do you think?

It is now confirmed that Australia will also get the new 40GB model, which other then being cut down by a bit, will also be a few hundred dollars cheaper. Though it isn’t cheap enough yet to compete with the Wii or X360, it will sell for $AU699. I think it is still about $100 overpriced. Should hit shelves on the 11th of this month (October).
