Firefox, my preferred web browser, has finally reached beta stage of its upcoming overhaul, version 4. New features include an interface refresh, JaegerMonkey a speed bump for javascript, further HTML5 support, 64bit support and better touchscreen control. No news if it will digest less of your memory, though we can all hope.
If you are fearless you can jump over to Firefox developer area and download.

Sometimes I forget that Android isn’t just a mobile phone OS but an open source operating system. While some people are already enjoying the loveliness that is Android 2.2, the open source version is only now available to us average Joe’s.
Now it is out hopefully all the loyal Android device owners can get their upgrade on. Warning, not for people who don’t know a crap load about development and Linux.

NTAuthority, a member of HaXNetwork, has patched the Sony Remote Play software so now any Windows 7 computer can remote control your PlayStation 3. It is compiled with Visual Studio 2008 and requires Visual C++ 2008 runtime, plus the firmware on your Playstation will have to be updated to at least 3.30 (or newer), to work. Otherwise, jump over to HaxNetwork and download the patch and remote away.
I would test the patch, but unfortunately both Windows 7 computers I own are Vaio’s, so sort of defeats the purpose.

Who wants to download brand new full version games, without having to use a PC or wait for Phantom Entertainment to make a comeback? That is where WiiWare comes in, which is basically full game downloads to your Nintendo Wii. Earlier I talked about the games that were coming to it and a bit of info on the system, but now Nintendo has released a few other snip bits that should quench your fanboy thirst.
Each game will have a size limit of 40MB, which will fill its 512 MB of storage pretty damn fast (unless they let you use either a USB HDD or an SD card). Apparently, the devs will release a maximum of 1 game a month, with a max budget of $US100,000. Seems to be a lot like Xbox Arcade and less like a cool new full featured game download service. Guess we will have to wait for the rain of game reviews before we can make any judgement.
