The issue was that first generation F series and second generation CW series Vaio’s would overheat because the heating management system wouldn’t kick in. Sony is confident that the new Vaio BIOS fixes the issue and is available here.
Unfortunately the mainstream press got a wind that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission had issued a recall notice. It seems that they didn’t see the video of the new Macbook Pro boiling water.
Vaio owners, you guys own the best laptops on the market by a large margin. I say this after owning every major brand and having to support all brands for over 7 years. Issues like this happen constantly to all brands, the difference is the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is usually ignorant to the issues.

I can consider myself a lucky man, after finding this delightful fellow to come along and fix up the bugs of old. What bugs you say? If you have ever clicked one of my tags in the past months, you would have noticed that you only found articles that weren’t in the shorts section. That was annoying to say the least, considering that majority of the articles on the site are published under shorts (because I am to lazy). That bug is fixed, but has created other bugs that will hopefully be resolved in the coming week. If you happen to notice a bug that annoys you, can you please post a comment or send me a private message. Thank you and have a great day.
