I’m not sure if this would fall under a driving offence, if you were caught drink driving. Flying Barstools have a series of barstools strapped to a sort of semi go-cart framing, giving you a very interesting form of travel for anyone who finds barstools incredibly comfortable. I have a few friends who spend a lot of time on a barstool, but this may be a little far.
If you aren’t up to date on your Flying Barstools range of products, it appears they have released a new model, which believe it or not, can travel at a mighty 30MPH. Not exactly flying, but fast enough to be damn scary. The chair is powered by a 6-horsepower Subaru engine, which replaces the older models 4-horsepower engine.
There seems to be a million options, such as pin striping, 4WD wheels (for offroading of course) and customs seats. The price is somewhat fair, at $US2000, but I would have to recommend talking to your respective partner before bring on home as a surprise.

If you happen to be in the car market for a medium side sedan or hatch and haven’t really decided what you would like, the guys over at Australian Car Advice have done a fantastic review on the 2008 Subaru Impreza. They seems to have liked it giving the Impreza a 4 out of 5 steering wheels. They said “If you’re thinking about buying a new small-medium car, go drive the new Impreza range. You won’t be disappointed.” Seems impressive enough for me.

I don’t really get how it works with notebook companies making car themed notebooks. Acer make some of the cheapest no frills notebooks around and they get Ferrari. Asus aren’t much better and they get Lamborghini. Panasonic make impressive, expensive, ultraportable and unique notebooks and they get Subaru!
Now I have had a rant, I can get back to the news at hand. Panasonic have released a CF-W7 Subaru Impreza themed notebook (that was easy wasn’t it). If you like the new Subaru Impreza WRX STI and want a CF-W7, then unless you are in Japan, you can probably forget it. They will be limited run of 500, and at the $US2499, I would say they will sell fast.
Inside, in case you are wondering, is a Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB DDR RAM (2GB upgradeable maximum), 80GB HDD and 12.1″ TFT colour XGA display, running on Windows Vista Business Edition. The whole package will weigh in 1.2Kg.
