Though I believe the world has a balancing factor that always kicks in to save itself (though it may mean killing all humans), this article is super interesting to see what is happening in earth saving technologies. In the end even if the technology is great, it will have to be cheap for majority of the world to afford it.

Jump over to the EcoGeek Blog for the fantastic article.

SOUNDSTICKSIt is the time of the year where every geek has there fingers crossed that their partners, parents, friends, family and random strangers, may just get them that piece of technology to play with, which they have read the review for a million times, but don’t really have a need for it (I really do need a Nokia N810 you know). It is also the time when Christ did something or other and Santa Claus invented christmas trees (I think it has something to do with that?).
What I want to know is what did you guys and girls get that fits into the category of pretty much useless but very very cool? This year I was lucky enough to get a new PC, which included a Chinese case special, with an Intel E4500, 1GB DDR2 RAM, ASUS Mobo, Nvidia 8600GT and a Seagate 320GB HDD (for ‘legit’ downloads of course). I also was lucky enough to get a sweet set of Hardon Karmon SOUNDSTICKSII that I may even do a review of, though I am far from a sound expert to really give expert advice.  Otherwise I got a big pile of cloths and other cool nick nacks (I love all gifts, even if they are movies made by Uwe Boll).
If you happen to stumble along my lonely little blog and have some time on your hands, please put a little blurb of the gadgets or cool things you got and what you think about them.

My little baby PearlThere are usually no excuses for laziness, but over the last few months of neglecting my poor old website I have come up with a few.
Firstly I have done some moving. I am now a resident of a quiet little area called Nelsons Bay. It’s located around 200KM’s from Sydney, which gives me a nice buffer been me and my family (if distance makes the heart grow fond, then I will need at least another 200KM’s).
Secondly I now have a beautiful little baby girl. We decided to name the little wonder Pearl after a dream her beautiful mother had (I swear I am not a suck up). She is a little over 2 weeks old and is proving already to be a hand full. Having a child is a beautiful experience that I would only wish upon my worst enemies (and closest friends).

Now I have the excuses out of the way lets talk about the future of this little blog. In the past people will remember this site as the very ugly unobtainable.info, which I had created all on my very own with the little web development skills that I had at the time (which was very little). Now thanks to my new friend Srikanth, and his crack team of coders and designers at Ask Graphics, I have this much prettier and accessible site. This new site can do more, load faster and even give spectacular foot massages.
One of the larger changes you will notice is the domain change from unobtainable.info to the new technience.com. I found unobtainable to be a great name and domain but it really didn’t have anything to do with technology or science now did it. You would have probably already guessed it (because this site is focused at the smart crowd) but the new Technience domain, actually means Technology ‘n’ Science, which makes a lot more sense.
Now we have a new name, a new identity and a clean pair of pants (also thanks to my beautiful woman) we can start a fresh with the latest technology, science, gaming news plus any other wacky stuff I can come up with. Also if you are lucky maybe even a few guest writers (who can actually write thank god).
So to tie all my rambling up into a neat little package (which is smaller then a PS3), you can expect the regular updates of the old unobtainable, in a much easier to look at layout. Hope you all enjoy and thank you for coming.
